Digital Creation, Project Two, Blog One

For Project Two I now have to take my final model from last project and make it into a real life model.

Final Model

I have first looked at trying to make a simplfied version of it using the stack method.

This hasn't been particularly successful as my model is quite flat. I also looked at incorporating thread, I thought this could work as representing the smaller parts breaking away from my model. In this attempt it looks very messy, but I think I could still use this in further experiments.

When looking at my model it is quite 2D, and sheet like. I am thinking I could possibly laser cut the shape out of arcrylic then heat it to get the curves and general shape. I could also do some etching to get the effects of the digital model.
