Digital Creation, Project Three, Blog Seven

All three of my previous models were unable to be 3D printed so I made a simplified version of my original final model.
Above are my original three models with my new final model.

I looked at a posible composition using my new model and two of my original ones.  I thought by putting my column and glass framed model inside one of the extruded holes in my final model it could make a cool lighting effect. I am yet to test it.
I then looked at materials for my new model. I want a transparent shiny material in the centre for light to shine out of then contrasted with a rough concrete or something of the like to act as a building exterior.

This lighting could achieve what I want, however putting all of these lights into my models slows down 3DS Max significantly which would make trying to compose everything unbearable.

This another composition I made, repeating my model in the foreground to make  a city which leads to the center column of my other model. I am still not sure what to do with the model in the background as it looks very odd.

This was an attempt using lighting. I still want to have the light beaming out of all the windows but it still wont work, so I am continuing to experiment with this.
