I decided to make another model out of paper to experiment with a fraying type effect in order to more closely represent my original hero model.
I quite like the effect but I don't think this would translate particularly well in acrylic or cardboard. I am still set on using acrylic as it can be bent fairly easily and will be transparent which I think will best capture the idea of looming.
