Interaction Design, Project Two, Blog Seven

I am currently looking at having my arrow as a character who talks to the user giving them verbal instructions on how to use the app and how to get to the users destination.

'Arrown'

I would give the user the option to look at the map by selecting it if they wish to view to get an overview of where they are going. Also they can select the music option, which when enabled plays the users music quietly when the user is head in the wrong direction and louder the more on track they are.

'Arrown' would still point in out the way if the user wishes to follow that way, or they can just listen.

Alternatively or along side the music option, the arrow will flash red more frequently the more the user is off track, or green if the user is on track

  1. lol, Arrown

Looking good though, a solid blog and a solid idea, I think i've mostly exhausted my feedback in class today but just having a look over it now i'll add 2 things

1, really push the arrow as a character, thinks like giving him a hat when he's not actually directing you and him taking it off are a start, but personality, the sad face when you go off track, will it be sad or angry?

2, I'm less liking the colours, I thought they'd grow on my and they haven't, try texture, and a drop shadow would work wonders, I hate to use the phrase but really make it 'pop'. That is just me though, so you can certainly keep your aesthetic, but i'd like to see some experimentation on that front to prove you've thought about it.

really liking that you've made the app centralize around Arroun though, really effectively done. And i'm just being picky above, you're doing great.
